During the one-day bus trip, you will go to a really unique land - Biržai, where the surfaces of the earth is constantly changing and is forming new landscapes. When the groundwater washes away the gypsum layers to the depth, the ground collapses and forms mysterious sinkholes. You will observe the landscape from a 32 meters long Kirkilai observation tower. You will visit the famous, by legends and interesting stories surrounded Biržai Castle, which built by Radvila family. From the outside, you will look around the palace of Astravas manor, which is the most expressive 19th century romantic architecture farmhouse in Lithuania. You will see the longest pedestrian bridge in Lithuania, connecting the city of Biržai with the Astravas manor. And you will seal the connection and knowledge of the city at a beer brewery.

The one-day tour by bus will start in the famous, by legends and interesting stories surrounded Biržai Castle, built by the Radvila family. At that time, the castle was the largest bastion-type fortress in Lithuania. The castle houses the regional museum "Sėla" and you will be met by a museum guide. In addition to the representative palace, there has been restored other castle premises, such as two parapets, a bridge, and the arsenal building. The museum's expositions include the history of the region, the writings of religious denominations, a big exposition of the Reformation movement and art. The main exposition of the arsenal interactively presents the 16th-18th centuries warfare and shows the arsenal importance and greatness of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania military Etmon-Dukes Radvila.
After visiting the castle, you will continue your one-day sightseeing tour with an excursion of Biržai. You will see the longest pedestrian bridge in Lithuania, connecting the city of Biržai with the Astravas manor. You will also take a walk around the territory of the Astravas Manor and see it from the outside. In addition to the palace, the manor complex consists of stables, a kennel, a mill, outbuildings and a dam-bridge. The palace is also surrounded by a pleasant park with ponds.
Next, you will go to Kirkilai Observation Tower, which is shaped like a canoe or a sinking boat. The height of the tower is almost 32 meters. When you climb to the top of the observation tower, you can see an amazing views - 30 sinkholes full of water, called the lakes of Kirkilai reserve, with a diameter of about 35 meters or more. You will make a stop at the "Cow Cave". It is the best-known and researched geological natural monument in Northern Lithuania. It is believed that it is about 200 years old. At the bottom of the 9 meters deep karst collappse there are 5 branches (wet cave, the narrow land, bats cave and the Toad cave) and a 1.5 meters deep underground lake. It is said that there once was a cow in the current place, and she collapsed to the ground and only the end of the chain remained at the rock (from this story the karst collapse got its name).
On this day trip, after the excursion, you will see how real Lithuanian beer is brewed in one of the most modern, yet traditional, beer breweries. The guide will tell you about each of the five stages of beer making process, and, when you already know all the intricacies of brewing, you will be invited to the restaurant, where you will taste various snacks, which you can combine with 7 different types of beer or kvaas - be sure to inform at the time of registration, otherwise the general order will be ordered).
