On this one day sightseeing bus trip you will visit the first mentioned capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (second half of the 13th century) - Kernavė. Here is a very unique complex of five mounds, and the only one in the Baltic region.  You will visit the Kernavė history and archeology museum, which has accumulated many objects and signs of the past, over several decades of excavations. You will also take part in a tour of the Kernavės church and the parish house and see a very beautiful and luxurious Užutrakis manor.

During the educational one-day bus trip, you will visit the first mentioned in the annals (second half of the 13th century)  capital of the Duchy of Lithuania - Kernavė. You will visit the museum of history and archeology in Kernavė, which, over several decades has accumulated  excavations of many signs and goods of the past. In the renovated modern museum of the Kernavė archaeological site in the exposition, the guide will familiarize you with the prehistory and the Middle Ages of Kernavė.

In Kernavė there also is the only complex of five mounds in the Baltic region, which were built in the 19th century. The names of the mound hills are - Pilies hill, Aukuro hill, Mindaugas hill (or Mindaugas throne mound), Lizdeikos mountain and Kriveikiškis mound. They offer an impressive view of the bends of the Nėris, the river island and coasts. The legendary Pajauta valley and the five mounds standing on its edge protects the remains of the capital of the last pagan state in Europe. In 1989 the State Cultural Center of Kernavė was established as a reserve. Since 2004 The Kernavė archaeological site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk around the mounds, admire the views and, of course, learn interesting facts.

You will continue your journey in Kernavė at the Kernavė church and rectory, where the priest himself will tell you about the history and interesting stories about these constructions.  You will pass by the neo-Gothic red brick St. Virgin Mary Shkaplierinė church. Together with the alley (Kerniaus Street), it merges into the compositional axis of the town, around which interesting monuments line up - Moses with the Ten Commandments of God, Iron Wolf sculpture, monument to Vytautas the Great. The interior decoration is dominated by three altars, and the high altar is from the 17th century. Even more interesting discoveries await you in the rectory-parish house building, where since 1979 serves the Congregation of Girls Deacons of Christ the King. There is a large observation deck on the roof of the building. From it, you can see not only all the Kernavė monuments described here, but also two more unique objects that are hidden from prying eyes in the rectory yard - a pool in the shape of the contour of Lithuania with blooming water lilies and a miniature of the city of Jerusalem, where you will see the tomb of Christ and even an imitation of the Mount of Olives.

At the end of the educational one-day trip, you will stop by to admire the Užutrakis manor and park ensemble. Here the guide will introduce you to the Užutrakis manor homestead, Count Juozapas Tiškevičius and his wife Jadvyga. The palace, decorated with impressive interiors, was created by a Polish architect Juzefs Hus, the park was created by French landscape architect Eduardas Andre. From the terrace of the palace you can see wonderful views of Trakai Castle.
