One day sightseeing tour by bus

On this one-day trip you‘ll get to admire the blooming tulips at Burbiškis Manor. The estate is famous for its beautiful landscape, it has magnificent gates, a lion bridge, numerous monuments and sculptures. The ponds that decorate the park are spectacular, with 15 islands with their own names and stories. The islands are connected by 12 bridges and a carpet of blooming flowers. After your visit at the Burbiškis manor, you will go to the Chocolate Museum, where you will have a good time making chocolate.


Tour program

Attention: the tour is only available from 1 to 10 May, when the tulips are blooming.

Departure can be organized from any location in Lithuania.

 

You will start your journey at the oldest chocolate factory, where the museum guide will tell you about the history of chocolate, which is almost 4,000 years old, the Mayan and Aztec traditions of making chocolate, how chocolate has changed over the centuries and you‘ll even see the cups that were used by the kings to drink chocolate. You will also learn about the first Lithuanian chocolate factories and learn their history. Later in the chocolate workshop you will test your skills at making and tasting chocolate sweets.

Lunch. Soup + hot chicken dish. (If you do not wish to have lunch or would prefer a vegetarian meal, please note in your registration).

You will continue your one-day sightseeing tour by bus in Burbiškis Manor, which has been mentioned in historical sources since the 17th century. The manor has a landscape-type park covering an area of 28 ha. There are 15 islands in the park ponds, which are connected by lime trees, bridges and the Liūlys stream flows. There are paths, bridges, gazebos, benches, sculptures, a two-row avenue of birch trees extending from an openwork metal gate and avenues of lime trees on the sides. Of all the manors in the Radviliškis district, the Burbiškis manor accumulated a lot of art values ​​at the beginning of the 20th century. Burbiškis manor was characterized by the cultivation of the old noble manor culture. The owners of the manor, Baženskiai, created a large and beautiful park, with monuments, sculptures, archive and library in it. With the manor guide you will walk around the park and the manor and hear interesting stories. After that, you will have free time (about 1.5 hours) to admire the multi-colored tulip flowers.

 

Price of the sightseeing trip by busfrom  80 (the cost of the trip is for 30 people, if the number of participants decreases, then the cost per person increases.
